Review of Evan & Jaron's Concert
by Amanda G., 16, from US
Evan and Jaron set performed a concert on Friday, May 18th,
in Concord, NH. Here's how it went.
When I arrived at Eagle Square (where the concert was to take
place), I was shocked at how many people had actually showed up
to see the small set Evan And Jaron were to play. Being an afternoon
on a school day, I was expecting a smaller crowd of teens around
my age. There were many youngsters between the ages of 4-8 whose
parents brought them for a fun afternoon activity. The majority
of the remainder of the crowd was college students from the nearby
tech college.
After finding a place to sit where I could see the performance
area, I took some time to look around and enjoy what was going
on around me. There were radio station personalities celebrating
their one year anniversary of a morning show, and people setting
up the stage for the show that was about to start. After waiting
about a half hour after the set starting time, the guys showed
up and were announced.
The crowd was pumped up when they took their places with their
guitars in front of two mics. They started their acoustic performance
right away. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves right from
the beginning. After the opening song, the guys thanked all of
us for attending even in the cold weather, which I might add was
rather hot for New Hampshire temps.
During the second song, Jaron started to laugh once and a while
between verses. The crowd obviously found this amusing and they
finished the song. They then went on to explain when they get
tired, they find everything to be amusing.
After a 5 song acoustic performance, the guys had to leave.
The song with the most reaction was "Crazy For This Girl," the
song that took them to the top. The guys then left swiftly leaving
a seated bunch of newly formed fans who were in awe of the brilliant
music and the wonderful songs. Although they don't put on a show
with lightning bolts and confetti, they sure keep the attention
of an otherwise boredom stricken crowd.
