A Message to the Archeologist

Hannah Buxton 14, England

Once were sacrifices brung,
Upon the ancient pharoahs sung,
His final song before he died,
Unsuspected,mummified.
Cos' the ancient curses said,
Things that die are never dead.
And beetles bit and beetles bite,
Then disappearing into night,
Awaken once again will they,
Be it night or be it day,
Cos' the ancients prophesised,
That once again it will arise,
For things that lived will never die,
And things that flew will always fly,
So when one sunny, summer day,
Remember what the writings say,
Remember how the pharoah died,
Unsuspected ,mummified.
Because the ancient curses said,
Things that die are never dead...................
