Moonlight Passions

Jose Alzate

At the end of the illustrious sunsets
The moonís shimmering light besets
It spreads romantic scenes throughout
Creating moonlight passions no doubt
You can see through a window or between trees
That these passion rays fly with the breeze
Filling me one day they did
Falling in love as a teenage kid
Wishing the moonlight breeze would never end
Or the smiles on her face that could mend
My heart and spirit and also my soul
Yet soon it plunged into a big black hole
What happened to the love I may never know,
But miss it I do and lonely I go
Sorry for not knowing what to do
Especially for letting go of you
Well eventually the moonlight must die out
And soon the sizzling sun must come out
And with a blink of an eye
The one true love might pass on by
With a simple blink of an eye
A moonlight passion could quickly die
What happened to me might happen to you
So open your eyes to someone true
Or else you'll have to move on
And regret not having your love at dawn
