PROLOGUE- 65 million years ago, Alaska

It was cold and icy at Alaska that day, there was a blizzard coming, and the dinosaurs knew it, a little too late though. You see, most of the dinosaurs here were pregnant, all ready to give birth to their young. If the dinosaurs laid their eggs now, the blizzard would cover the eggs with snow, and the dinosaurs wouldn't be able to find their eggs. Especially when the eggs' scent will be also covered by the snow, which would make the dinosaurs not be able to sniff them out. This would take away a lot of dinosaur species.

Most of the dinosaurs here were just migrating, and didn't live in Alaska. But even if they started moving away from Alaska now, they still wouldn't be far from the blizzard, and would lose their eggs.

Because of this danger of losing their eggs, they had to go somewhere where the eggs couldn't be covered by snow, which was, a cave. But there were over 20 dinosaurs, and the cave would have to fit them all, including all the eggs that they would hatch! One thing wrong, most of the dinosaurs were at least the size of a bus, or bigger! Where in Alaska would they find a cave that big?

The blizzard coming faster than they thought, the clouds were moving rapidly, and they were getting darker as well. Then finally, after a long couple of days, they found a cave that had the height of a brontosaurus, and the width of one too. If this were true, it would fit the other dinosaurs as well.

As they got in more, they started to decide that this was the right place for them to lay their eggs. Even though there were a lot of different dinosaurs in the cave, the herbivores and the carnivores strongly got along well together. Maybe they did, because of the life or death situation of their species, but whatever it was, it was for a good reason. The female dinosaurs were now laying their eggs, while the males were looking for some food source for the females, and for the babies when they hatched. It was noisy in there, roaring and excitement was going on in that cave, when something went wrong.................

It felt like an earthquake when it happened, but it actually was a monstrous avalanche. With some of the dinosaurs extraordinary hearing senses, they could tell that the avalanche was going to fall right on them! Even though they had already laid their eggs, the dinosaurs had to leave in a hurry. It was like a rhino stampede in there, but it was even bigger than that. With the dinosaurs running and roaring, it seemed to make even more noise than the avalanche itself! The dinosaurs were almost out of the cave, and the monstrous amount of snow from the avalanche was coming down faster! While the dinosaurs were fleeing, they almost stayed in the cave for their young, but they had to survive, they would have to lay more eggs some other time.........

Almost immediately after the dinosaurs all got out of the cave, tons of snow from the avalanche fell into the entrance of the cave, plugging it eternally. It lasted about 5 minutes until the avalanche was completely over with, and the dinosaur parents quickly went back to the cave, to see if they could get in or not. Unfortunately, the cave was sealed shut with ice and snow. Some of the dinosaurs tried to break through the ice and snow, but there was just too much of it.

The dinosaurs were now forced to leave the area, especially when the blizzard was still coming. But what the dinosaurs didn't know, was soon the dinosaur species would be wiped out by a large comet, blocking out the sun with it's cloud of dust, making them become, extinct.
